Creative composition- Poem!

I saw love die

My heart was opened
And you didn’t realize
I’d shown you the road
And you walked crosswise.

Where is it today?
You look like a stonewall
While I shrewdly flew
Suddenly you let me fall.

When you hid I changed
I was dismayed
And when you appeared
I felt outweighed.

Don’t expect to find
Something kind in me
My feelings got the color
You desired to see.

Village life vs. City life (after feedback)

As you know there are social and economical aspects among others which define your life style; one of them is the place where you live; it has a huge influence in your life style, for example it is really different to live in a city or in a village. There are a lot of aspects that determine the way you can see life in each one of them, such as size, pollution and environment because they are totally different in a city or in a village.

Size is an important aspect that determines life in a city or in a village. In a village there are fewer pressures because you can arrive fast and maybe walking to the place that you want because most of places are close, so you do not have to use a car all the time. However, in a village because of the small size; there are not many places you can go, because there is not enough space to have interesting places, so it can be a little bit boring. On the contrary, a city is a very big place, so most of places are far away; thus, your life can be very stressful, because you have to use different manners of transportation, so it makes your life expensive and sedentary because you do not have time to walk. Although; there is a huge variety of entertainment places where you can have fun, because it is a huge place.

Another characteristic that can you take into consideration is pollution, a certain aspect that differentiate between living in a village or in a city. In a village there is less pollution because there are not a lot of factories and cars, also there are more green areas, so the air is purer; however, the lack of factories causes a lack of job opportunities. On the other hand, in a city there is more pollution than in a village because there are many factories, so they produce a lot of smog, and as I mentioned before people cannot go to their destination by walking so the use of transportation increases pollution; on the contrary, people do not have the same trouble for getting a job because there are many job´s opportunities.

Finally, an important aspect that determines a lifestyle in a village or in a city is the social environment. In a small place most of people know each other, so you know how people are, this some times can be good because you can expect; although, there are people who say “Small village, big hell” because as people believe they know you, they criticize you; however, it is a quiet and safe place for living because there is not much money, so there is not much insecurity. In a different way, in a city your lifestyle is not so quiet, because there are a lot of people and you do not know how they are, also most of them have money for it, there is a lot of insecurity insecurity; nevertheless, life in a city can be more interesting because there are many places where you can get more facilities to become a successful person and to get entertainment.

As we have seen these aspects show us the differences between life in a village and in a city and ach one of them has its own advantages and disadvantages which determine your lifestyle and also the way you are. In my personal opinion I like living in a village because my life is kind of quiet; however, as I realized life in a city is more exciting, because there are more activities that you can do; besides, life is easier than in a village because there is more technology and opportunities for studying and working, so I would like to live in a city.

1973 a dejection generation

1973 a dejection generation
·         Name: 1973
·         Director: Antonio Isordia
·         Basic setting: it was shot in Mexico City and Chihuahua City from 1994 to 2003.
·         Type of film: documentary
"Este tema es una pulsión que tenemos todos, que nace cuando tenemos 5 años y nos damos cuenta de que podemos morir; entonces para superar ese miedo a la muerte buscamos darle sentido a nuestra existencia ya sea en los animales o en las plantitas”; this phrase that said Antonio Isordia, makes reference to the whole context of the documentary, because it show us three different situations which consist of cases about power, love and hatred; aspects that determine life of the human beings. The first case is about a young man who was one of the most important leaders of a historical movement in our contemporary world as an electoral, political, and oppressor weapon. The second situation is about Maria Fernanda who takes a road forward to self-destruction in the drug world. The last one is about Alex a young man who kills his family due to lack of attention and love of his mother. This kind of work is to show attenuating but real situations that exist in our society, so I consider that it is a very interesting documentary because you can see how people try to find a reason for living but in the road there are many distractions that can change or destroy their lives.

Sex education in schools

Should sex education be given in schools? Nowadays it is not the question, it should be; how should it be given? Young people need the correct information to protect themselves. These days more than 93% of all public schools in Mexico offer sexuality courses, many of these schools work together with some health centers in order to keep their students informed to avoid the most common problems related to this topic such as teenage pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases.
A relevant and worrying social problem as I mentioned before is teenage pregnancy. According to the Encuesta Nacional de la juventud 2005 and ISEA, Aguascalientes is one of the states of our country which registered around 1130 births from young mothers (14-19 years) per year; which locates this state above national average. It shows as that there is lack of sex education among young people because on the contrary they should know how to prevent this situation or because the sexuality courses that exist are not effective. Besides, to be informed helps young people to achieve their goals since they have enough tools to face up the real world; on the contrary the lack of sex education changes their lives.
Another social phenomenon among young people is the sexually transmitted diseases. As we know sex education begins in high school when young people start to experience changes in their bodies and minds; therefore, it is important that they be well informed about sex education due to this topic being very attractive for them; so if they do not have enough information about their sexual lives, they can get a venereal disease that could change or finish with their lives. According to ISEA in Aguascalientes the number of patients under of 19 years is 940 per year; it is very alarming for that reason sex education must be an  obligatory course to decrease this social phenomenon.
On the contrary, there are many people who consider that this kind of courses should not be given. Nowadays although, there are more open minded people, there are still some people who do not agree with informing young people about this topic, because they think it arises the young people interest in it and they begin their sexual lives in an early age. However, our current world arises this interest in young people because of the advertising; therefore, it is vital that they be well informed about sexuality in their education to avoid getting wrong information from advertising and outside world.
In conclusion, it is vital that the sex education courses should be given in public schools to decrease the social phenomenon among young people. As we can see our state is one of the states of our country which has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy due  to lack of information about sexuality, so it is a social problem that we should take care by keeping students informed, even at home to start having a sex education because it is a family matter too.

Rincon de Romos fair (Descriptive essay- exam)

What is a fair? A fair is a traditional celebration here in Mexico. In my town Rincon de Romos which is located in the north of Aguascalientes state, this celebration is in January, and it is a religious fair, so it consists of pilgrimages, series of masses, and dances because t is for bearing tribute to the parish church patron saint.
The aspect I like the most of this fair is the pilgrimages because the environment is grand. The first one consists of changing to the patron saint from his sanctuary to the principal church; therefore, people decorate the streets where the patron saint is going to saunter, with flower adornments, and decorative paper from side to side f the streets, also in some of these streets people make some representative scene of the Bible. Some of them are really beautiful, so when people look at them, feel a pleasant feeling. Moreover, in this pilgrimage many people stroll barefoot in order to fulfill a promise. Also, young people make a fence around the patron saint, and they sing religious songs.
Another aspect that is very important in this fair is the series of masses offer to the patron saint. As I mentioned before it is religious fair because it is dedicated to “el señor de las Angustias”, and as people in this town are very believer make mass all day for nine days. People make this because they feel that it is a way to give thanks to their patron saint. I used to go to the first mass at 6ó clock, I like it because people sing beautiful religious songs and it makes me feel an internal serenity. Besides, this mass is special because the priest allows people make their claims aloud, so it becomes the environment comfortable and confidence.
A beautiful tradition of this fair is the Matlachines dance. This dance is characteristic of my down because just here there is this kind of dance which is a dance where the clothes are handmade so people feel identified with it. Even there are people who go out to the fair only to glance at this dance even when they have seen it several times. Besides, when you go out and look at the people who are watching this dance you can see their pleasant expression. It is amazing when you see children dancing because even when there are a lot of modern distractions or sport activities they are interested of being part of their town traditions.
In conclusion, I really like my town fair because I consider that this kind of traditions are those that make us a multicultural country. And the fair of Rincon de Romos is an excellent example of representation because in this, you can find the typical religious tradition that characterize us, such as pilgrims, traditional dances, and series of masses; thus, they feel proud of being Mexican when I can take part of this tradition.

How electronic tools have influenced our L1/L2

Are you good using electronic tools? Nowadays our life is very influenced by technogical tools, even it does not matter if you are very young or you are old, because the use of technology is a necessity. For example in the learning of a language the use of electronic tools is very essential, because these make it more interesting, so people can learn easily. I can say that electronic tools have influenced in the target language learning and these can improve the use of my mother tongue, so I have some expectations regarding electronic tools.
Electronic tools have a great influence in the learning of a language nowadays. When I started to take English classes, I realized that when teachers made use of technology in their activities students paid more interest, because the classes were more dynamic. Students like to go to the English laboratory because they could use the computers in order to do many English exercises in different web pages. Moreover, there are many internet programs which are very useful, such as the exchange program; It helps students to improve their listening and speaking skills, because I had contact with the language and culture due to the practice that I had  with native speakers.
Even if you want to improve or just practice your mother tongue the use of electronic tools can be a good way to do it.  Today, electronic literacy is vital in every place, for example if you are a student, you can use electronic tools in order to do your educational assignments easily. There are a lot of web pages in your mother tongue, so you can find any kind of topic in order to get knowledge. On the other hand, we use these tools to improve our first language or to express our ideas by taking part in a webpage; because of this way people can comment your electronic diary and we can take in consideration these opinions to improve our electronic works.
Electronic literacy is our reality for that reason I have some expectations regarding electronic tools. I would like to be able to use electronic tools, because as I mention before these are very useful to teach, so it can help me to improve my performance as a future teacher. Moreover, wherever we go, we need technology, so it is vital that I learn to use these tools; I would like to have access to places where someone could tell me how can I use it, and which ones are appropriated; because the use of the internet is accessible, but not everybody can make a well use of it. For that reason I expect learn how to apply and use these tools.

In conclusion, I consider that electronic tools are essential in our life because these make it easier, as you realized these are very useful in different aspects, such as learning a target language, using them to improve our first language or just for sharing ideas, for that reason there are many expectations regarding them. We are living in a modern world, so we have to be update because of the contrary we are not going to progress.
